Donald Munro is an Expert Witness specializing in Parenting within the Film and Television industry. With over 25 years of production experience as the only Canadian film professional holding membership in seven major industry Unions and Guilds, he offers a unique perspective across every area of production.

Donald 's expertise lies in explaining the realities of parenting while working in Film and Television – an area often misunderstood in Family Law disputes. Long hours, irregular schedules, travel for work, and the use of childcare are not signs of instability, but practical realities that thousands of parents manage responsibly. HIs role is to provide the court with neutral, objective context so parenting arrangements can be assessed fairly and accurately.

In addition to his film and television career, Donald is a court-qualified expert witness in scuba and underwater injuries and fatalities. He also holds advanced certifications in Diving, Aviation, Emergency Services, & Parachuting, including Instructor Trainer ratings with PADI, Canadian and European Pilot Licenses with advanced ratings, and an FAA Senior Parachute Rigger license. Each of these roles has demanded the highest standards of safety, oversight, and responsibility — values that underpin his work as a neutral expert witness.

Donald is currently a JD Candidate at Dalhousie University, Schulich School of Law, further developing his expertise in legal reasoning, ethics, and Family Law. This academic foundation complements his professional experience and reinforces his commitment to serving as a neutral officer of the court.
